Andover Deliberative Engagement
Recent work from Andover Vision had focused on improving health outcomes, developing a community-based approach centered on local needs, which included the development of the Andover Health Hub in the Chantry Centre. Test Valley Borough Council and Andover Vision had been keen to take this work further and hear from the local community about what they thought better health outcomes should look like in practice.
Therefore, Test Valley Borough Council, along with Andover Vision, Thinks Insight and Strategy, local health partners, and Plus Four Market Research, ran three deliberative engagement sessions in March 2025.
The project brought together 35 individuals reflecting the variety of people who live in, work in, and use Andover. These individuals considered key evidence and information from different stakeholders and used this to create a set of shared priorities for community health projects in Andover.
It is hoped that this project will ensure that the needs of residents and the community were put at the centre of healthcare decision-making and future projects.
